1. As Dante and Virgil enter the gates. . .they come upon the uncommitted. Describe the scene.

2. How does this scene fit the uncommitted? Why is this punishment appropriate for them?
3. Who ferries them across the River Acheron? Why does hell need this ferryman?

4. As they enter the Circle 1, Limbo, what men do they talk to here? Why are they here? What is their punishment?
